When Willow first meets Buffy she is a timid, bookworm with an affinity for computers and a big crush on Xander, her best friend since childhood. she gradually comes out of her shell the more she participates in the demon fighting alongside Buffy, Giles and Xander. she uses her computer skills to assist the group with research and begins her foray into magick when she successfully restores Angel's soul, using a spell found in Jenny's computer.

during her junior year at sunnydale high, Willow's romantic life goes from non-existent to complicated. while still holding a torch for Xander, she meets Oz, a senior, who also happens to be the bass player in "Dingoes Ate My Baby". they develop a relationship, despite the discovery that Oz is a werewolf. later, when Willow is in a coma after Drusilla and her vamps attack, Xander expresses his love for her. however it is Oz she calls for when she finally comes to.

the following year sees Willow become more proficient in computer hacking and witchcraft. she also begins a doomed smooching affair with xander. they are discovered by their respective loves which temporarily ends the relationship between Oz and Will .the separation doesn't last for long. their bond seems even stronger once they make-up.

a more assertive Willow begins to surface as the gang gets closer to graduation. she has no problem confronting her friends when they're acting against character, her spell casting abilities grow and she is confident enough to tutor the jock Percy, being stern when he hasn't been trying his best. she and Oz are more in love than ever and, just before the ascension, they consummate their relationship which seems to give her extra strength to do her Scooby job and fight the Mayor.

Willow's freshman year at ucs is a lesson in personal growth. in the beginning she is giddy at the prospect of higher learning. but her happiness fades to doubt, and later pain, after discovering a post wolfed-out Oz naked, in the arms of Veruca (she-wolf). veruca, the lead singer of Shy, has been a source of jealousy for will since she first saw Oz noticing her at the Bronze. but after walking in on them together it goes from jealousy to heartbreak. Oz makes Willow realize that it is the wolf in him that has a connection with Veruca. and, after killing wolf-Veruca, he decides to leave and find out how to control his animal side. this sends Willow over the edge. she is now alone and deeply depressed. she turns to magic to sort out her problems. she casts a spell to make her wants come true which, of course, backfires. all of her friends are affected. Xander has demons chasing him,Amy getting De-ratted(For a sec) Giles goes blind and Buffy falls in love with Spike. it's not until the demon D'Hoffryn offers her a vengeance demon position, much like Anya's, that she realizes she needs to get over herself and she reverses the spell.

Willow eventually begins to heal from her loss and finds comfort with her new friend Tara. Tara and Willow met at a wicca meeting where the highlight of conversation was the upcoming bake sale. so they don't stay in the group, rather split off and bond through witchcraft. they gradually move from friends to lovers and Tara begins to attend Scoob meetings, a symbol of her place in Willow's life. even when Oz returns, to show Willow he has control of the wolf inside, she remains steadfast and chooses Tara.

by the end of the year it is not her love life that's on the rocks, it's her friendships. the Scoobs have been growing apart and Spike sees this as an opportunity. so spike and adam set up an alliance. Spike will drive the gang further apart, thus weakening the slayer, and Adam will perform a little chip removal on blondie. the plan works until the Scoobs realize what's been going on. they come together for a powerful spell to defeat Adam and get a powerful reconciliation to boot.

during her sophomore year in college Willow's witchy power is growing stronger, her relationship with the Scoobs is deepening and her love for Tara evolving into a true companionship. when Tara is brain-sucked by the evil Glory, Willow moves past her heartbreak to take care of her now helpless girlfriend. as the big battle with Glory approaches, Willow's anger towards the blond god grows and she uses her strong wiccan powers in a showdown of her own. she does fine for a time but realizes she can't do it alone. it isn't until the final fight that she is able to reverse Tara's condition and help in defeating Glory. just as she regains the love of her life, she loses her best friend. Buffy sacrifices her own life to save her sister.

Willow spends the summer taking care of the Summer's home and Dawn. she is also planning to cast a spell, with the help of the Scoobs, to resurrect her now dead friend. the spell is a success and Willow begins to realize her power. she abuses it and Tara gives her an ultimatum.

She needs to give up magic or Tara will leave. even though she makes the promise, Willow uses magic to change Tara's memory of an argument. the spell goes wrong and tara discovers Will's secret. she does what she promised and leaves. in the wake of their break-up will turns to her recently de-ratted witch friend Amy to ease her pain. the two go on a magic-spree and which eventually takes Willow to Rack's, a magic dealer.

she hits bottom when she brings Dawn there, leaving her in the lobby while she has a magic o.d. when she drives while under the influence she has an accident that breaks Dawn's arm and causes her to beg for Buffy's help. she begins her recovery and when she is strong enough, she slowly reconciles with Tara. they have a coffee date and afterwards Tara expresses that she knows they need to work on their relationship but she'd rather just be kissing Will. the two make love and the next few days are spent in bed, researching ways to defeat the Troika. when they finally prepare to come back to the real world, a stray bullet, meant for Buffy flies through window and hits Tara.

her lifeless body falls into Willow's arms.Willow chooses not to grieve but to get revenge on those that took her lovers life. she heads to the Magic Box, where she fills herself with all the black magic she can find.

During her quest she hurts those she loves the most but has convinced herself that the only way to heal the pain is to end the world. Giles teleports back to Sunnydale with the borrowed power of a british coven. but Willow steals the power to assist in her path of destruction.

Just when she is about to bring the apocolypse, Xander arrives on the scene. he repeats "I love you" to her until she can no longer deny the small shred of humanity she has left. she breaks down and weeps in Xander's arms.

After being evil,Willow went back wih Giles to England to recover,while there Willow discovers that magic is now part of her,Giles later sends Willow back to Sunnydale,at first no-one sees her,but later the spell is broken,some time Xander takes Willow to see Tara's grave

Willow then later sees Cassie Newton,a dead sunnydale high student,who is really the First,telling Willow not to use magic anymore,later when Willow gets ready to do a spell to locate Spike,the First possesed her until Xander Destoryed the pot and Willow Returned,But this made her scared to use magic.Later the next dayGiles returned with three girls who are Slayer-In-Training and one of them is named Kennedy,who started to flirt with Willow and even sharing her room, much to Willow's initial discomfort.Kennedy and Willow begin their relationship when Kennedy dodges an SiT? retreat to stay with Willow. They kiss, and Willow turns into Warren! As Willow begins to manifest aspects of Warren's personality, it is Kennedy who inevitably saves her..The spell was put on her by Amy who was jealous of Willow's power.A short time later, they admit they have a relationship to the rest of the gang.later Willow gets a phone call from Winfred Burkle asking her to come over to L.A to resoul Angel,who turned into Angelus to stop The Beast.while there,Willow thought Winfred was also gay, and also Cordelia tried to stop Willow.but Willow was succesful and resouled Angel.while leaving she told Faith,who also helping stop the Beast,about the events in Sunnydale, and asked Faith to come with her.Faith and Willow said their goodbyes and left.as Faith and Willow arrive in Sunnydale they find a girl beaten and take her to a hospital. later Buffy,Faith,Xander,Spike and some potentials go to fight Caleb the man who beat the girl.but he takes out one of Xander's eye, kills Molly and potential,breaks Rona' arm and badly hurts everyone else. later Willow and everyelse kick Buffy out of the house after she decideds to fight Caleb again. the next night Kennedy and Willow have sex. Later Faith asks Willow,Xander,Anya and Dawn to watch over Buffy. but they didn't find her. Buffy later returns with all of potentials and Faith wounded.Buffy also has a new weapon with her called a scythe which is for a slayer to use.Buffy gathers the core gang in the bedroom and presents her plan. Willow expresses her fears of failure since it's her responsibility to pull this plan off, but everyone has confidence in her skills.latyer as Willow prepares for the magic and tells Kennedy she may have to kill her in case Willow taps into an evil that's too dangerous. Kennedy reassures Willow that they're going to survive.Kennedy goes to Robin's office to prepare Willow's spell and the others break up into groups of two where they'll battle any vampires that make it into the school. Before breaking up, Buffy, Willow, Xander and Giles stand in a circle together and Buffy asks them what they're going to do the next day. Buffy, Willow and Xander talk of shopping and the mall and Giles can't believe the three are talking about something so unimportant at a time like this. They go their separate ways as Giles suspects the earth is doomed with such people protecting it.later Kennedy sits opposite Willow as the witch prepares for the spell and checks to make sure Kennedy is ready to kill her in case things don't go smoothly. elsewhere The ubervamps charge towards them as Buffy hopes desperately for the spell to take effect. The spell begins as we flashback to Buffy's speech to the gang. She tells them that Willow will tap into the scythe's power and give every potential Slayer and girls around the world the full power of the Slayer. As the ubervamps attack, Buffy, Faith and all the new full Slayers go into serious battle. Kennedy watches as Willow revels in the power she's tapped into, her hair turning pale white in the process, and then the spell ends and Willow returns to normal..Willow gives the new Slayer Kennedy the scythe, then passes out on the floor from exhaustion,later the Hellmouth and Sunnydale began to collapse and Willow is helped by Xander and Kennedy to get to school bus to escape. as they are driving away Buffy jumps on the bus as Sunnydale is collapsing. later they look at the destoryed Sunnydale and ask Buffy what should they do next.Buffy just smiles
