The Scythe is a mystical {{Weapons}} weapon? forged by (?). It was first seen in BtvsSeasonSeven episode "{{Touched}}", buried in solid rock. TheFirstEvil, {{Caleb}} and TheBringers were attempting to pry it from the rock and destroy it before the {{Slayer}} even knew it existed. But when BuffySummers discovered its whereabouts, she "King Arthur'd it from the stone" and used it to effortlessly kill the {{UberVamp}}s (and rather symbolically, {{Caleb}}), and, through the powerful magic of WillowRosenberg, empower all {{PotentialSlayer}}s around the world to defeat TheFirstEvil.

The Scythe turns up later in {{Fray}}.
