{{Willow}} transformed into {{Warren}} when she kissed {{Kennedy}}, as a result of {{Amy}}'s Penitence Malediction hex. The spell that transformed was cast such that the victim's subconscious determined the form of the transformation. As the spell progressed, Willow surrendered more and more to Warren, hitting Amy, buying a gun, and threatening to shoot Kennedy in a replay of the scene in which Warren confronted and attempted to murder Buffy. When she realized that Willow was blaming Kennedy (but really, herself) for allowing {{Tara}} to really be dead, Kennedy was able to undo the spell by kissing Warren, to "bring [Willow] back to life."
