At the beginning of mankind (thought to be about 7000 BC), a group of sorcerers, magicians, and voodoo practitioners came together for a solution to the {{Demon}} problem in the world. Using their magics they created a force of good in the form of a girl. They named her The {{Slayer}}. The following generations of these magicians would later be known as The WatchersCouncil.
Unbeknownst to them, once the {{Slayer}} died another would be {{Called}} and the cycle would continue until the {{Demon}}s were gone. The energy they created in the {{Slayer}} didn't simply disappear, it only changed form, and in this case, it meant a new girl, and a new {{Slayer}}. The First Slayer had no family, and no friends. She was born with the instinct to hunt and kill all evil. Though she helped many villagers, the people shunned her, thinking she was a form of {{Demon}}. And from this a trend formed over time, and the {{Slayer}} was alone.
In 1999, when the {{Slayer}} BuffySummers and her BuffyCharactersScoobyGang friends? tapped into the source of the First Slayer to defeat an enemy, they tapped into darkness. The First Slayer began to stalk them in their dreams. When she was finally confronted by Buffy, she told her of her destiny. She told Buffy that she was a killer, that death was her gift, and death was all the {{Slayer}}s had to offer.
Buffy later discovered in BtvsSeasonSeven that the power of the First Slayer was forced into her by the magicians, and that the power was the essence of a {{Demon}}.
