Magic is used for all sorts of things in BuffyTheVampireSlayer and AngelTheSeries. A strong and recent example is when it was used to deafeat TheFirstEvil. WillowRosenberg used the power of TheScythe to give the {{PotentialSlayer}}s full {{Slayer}} strength. Magic can of course be bad as well. At the end of BtvsSeasonSix Willow took a bad turn and the magic took over her, tranforming her into DarkWillow.
