Doyle is a half-human, half-demon rogue sent by the PowersThatBe to guide {{Angel}} in LosAngeles.

• Receives blindingly painful visions from the PTB of people in trouble.
• Prone to drinking too much and racking up gambling debts.
• Generally "passes" as human; under stressful conditions (like sneezing) his face will sometimes transform into its Brakkan form, with small blue spikes covering his skin. When in Brakkan form, Doyle possesses enhanced strength and sense perception.
• Married at age 20 to HarryDoyle?. They later seperated because Doyle had difficulty accepting his demon half.
• Worked as a grade school teacher until his demon half first manifested itself at age 21.
• His mother was human; his father was a Brakkan demon.
• Immediately attracted to CordeliaChase.
• Sacrificed himself to save a group of persecuted half-demons in the AtSSeasonOne episode {{Hero}}.
• Kissed CordeliaChase goodbye just before his death, thereby passing on his visions from the PTB.
