Backstory

Buffy's career as a {{slayer}} begins in Los Angeles in 1996. {{Merrick}}, her first {{watcher}}, approaches her on the front steps of her school. Although apprehensive at first, she accepts her responsibility and starts to train and fight. She soon learns, however, that slaying interferes with both her social and school life.

Soon after, her life starts to unravel. Her grades plummet. She burns down the {{Hemery High School}} gym, which lands her an expulsion. Merrick dies, leaving her alone in her fight, and her parents split up. Buffy's mother, JoyceSummers, moves her daughter to {{Sunnydale}}, California, to start a new life, hoping to leave her daughter's problems behind. Buffy, too, hopes to escape her old life.

The Series

Upon her arrival at Sunnydale High, Buffy soon learns that her destiny is set, and that she cannot escape her responsibility. She heads to the school library to get a textbook where she is again confronted with her fate. The new school librarian, RupertGiles, reminds her of her role: "You are the chosen one." She resists initially, but she once again accepts her fate after her new friends, WillowRosenberg and XanderHarris, find themselves in need of her help.

The trouble she meant to leave behind in LA catches up with her. She spends her first prom in Sunnydale battling TheMaster and, briefly, dies. Xander revives her by administering CPR.

The next year two new vampires arrive in Sunnydale,Spike and Drusilla,Who killes the Anointed One,Buffy also finds out that since she died,a new slayer was summened named Kendra,she also spends an intimate night with Angel only to find him evil the next morning.while he is Angelus,he kills one the scoobs(Jenny)and sends Drusilla to attack The rest of the scoobs and Kendra,After fighting Angelus,Buffy returns to the school to find Willow, and Xander unconscious,Giles kidnapped and Kendra dead,Buffy eventually sends Angel to hell.

Buffy spends her senior homecoming trying to survive Slayerfest '98 and her eighteenth birthday trying to survive a council rite-of-passage.But their is also a new slayer named Faith,when Angel returns to her he is an animal, that needs her to survive. but has to keep her distance, once he's recovered. she's "dumped" by Angel just before the prom. she saves the world from an apocalypse on Graduation day only to have to watch as Angel leaves sunnydale for good.

During Collage she battles her roommate Kathy, her psychology professor is evil and she sleeps with a guy, named Parker, that is only in it for the fun. Halloween is spent trapped in a demonic frat house and thanksgiving is spent battling an vengeful ghost. under willow's spell she almost marries Spike. Faith wakes from her coma, switches bodies with Buffy, and sleeps with Buffy's new boy Riley.But Jonathan helps them get back together,While this is happening their is a new bigbad named Adam,when Buffy is to weak to fight him,willow uses a spell to combine their powers,in which Buffy defeats Adam,but the spell summens the first slayer who tries to kill them in thier dreams,but she hints at things that will come(Dawn)

The next season Buffy finds out she has a sister named Dawn and her mother has a brain tumor. another guy skips town when riley leaves for a super secret mission. she finds her mothers dead body, has to deal with her death and keep Dawn "the key" from being captured and killed. through these, and many other defining moments, Buffy grows stronger and wiser. she goes from reluctant teenage hero to powerful, determined champion. she finds her purpose in this world, her gift... just before she plunges to her death to save the world... again.

the following year Buffy is raised from the dead when Willow and the Scoobs cast a powerful spell. they think they've raised her from hell but, she was actually in Heaven. she is despondent and no longer has her zest for life. she tries to "feel" again in the arms of her one time enemy, Spike, and they become lovers. at the same time she is keeping her sister and friends at a distance.During all this Buffy needs a job so she gets one at The Doublemeat Place

she finally breaks it with Spike when Riley comes to town which makes her realize her life is not what she would like it to be, and ends her affair with the blonde vamp. she begins to come back from her real life hell, but just when she begins to recover, and reconcile with her friends, Willow suffers the greatest blow. she loses Tara to a gunshot. Willow goes black arts and Buffy is forced to fight her best friend.

but, in the end, it is Xander that saves the day. druing the apocalyptic battle of heart and mind Buffy has a chance to celebrate the heroic return of Giles and apologize to her sister for her lack of attention. the two Summers women walk into the sunrise of a brand new day. together.

Later Buffy has been training Dawn to take care of herself, all Summer, the next day she gets a new job as a gudiance counsler at the Sunnydale High school, the next week she finds out about Spike's soul, and finds out the the First being back,Later The Bringers attck and kidnapped Spike,The next week Giles arrives with three Slayers-In-Training,While with Giles to find out more about The First,Buffy goes back to the place where she first meet it,by while there she gets attacked by an UbervampBuffy? fights it but stakes will not kill it,Buffy escapes,Later a SIT named Annabelle gets killed by an Ubervamp,Buffy fights once again but loses once again,Later Buffy finds out a way to defeat the ubervamp and kills it,after the fight Buffy finds Spike and fress him,Spike began to help Buffy train the potential slayers, before his inhibiter went crazy. Spike realized the chip had not been meant to last that long; Buffy was not the only one meant to be dead. Buffy called Riley, who sent a team to analyse the chip. They gave Buffy a choice- Spike could either have the chip repaired, or removed. . She decided to have the chip removed.Buffy later gets a slayer emegency kit from Robin Wood,who kept it since his mother Nikki also a slayer died.she and Dawn later find the body of potential slayer Chloe who hanged herself after talking to the First Evil.With the help of her friends she opens a portal that transport her into the past to talk to three old people who made the First Slayer with dmeon powers.they try to give her more power,but she declines.they instead give her a verson of thousands of uber-vamps under the hellmouth .later while Buffy finds out a way to close the seal which the ubervamp come from when it rised by the First,with the help of Andrew she closes it.later Buffy finds out that Giles sended Robin to kill Spike,after finding out Spike is safe,she tells Robin if he tries to kill Spike again,she will allow Spike to kill him.Later while trying to kill a vampire, Spike is attacked by Faith, who is back in Sunnydale. later Buffy,Faith,Spike,Xander and the potentials go to find Caleb a man who is working with The First. During the fight Caleb takes one of Xander's eyes,kills two potential,and badly hurts everyone else.Giles later sends Spike and Andrew to find some info on Caleb and they found a sign .after this Buffy decides to go to fight Caleb again, but everyone disagrees and they kick her out of the hous Spike later finds Buffy at a house and she ask him to stay with her. the next morning Spike finds a note Buffy left for him. While Bufy goes to fight Caleb again while fighting pushes a barrel out of the way and Buffy dicovers a trapdoor and slides under it and she finds a ax. Caleb finds Buffy as she discovers the ax and she surprises him by pulling the ax effortlessly out of the rock it's imbedded in. The First convinces Caleb to let Buffy leave and she does at the mental hinting that Faith and the others are in trouble.later Buffy finds the potentials and crashes down through the ceiling above with the ax in hand. She quickly disposes of the Ubervamps, then directs the girls to take the wounded and follow her out of there they return home and Buffy is back as their leader. later Giles, Willow and Buffy talk about the scythe and what little they know about it. Buffy just knows that she knew it belonged to her and asks them to research anything they can find on it to determine it's significance.
