Blue Sun is a megacorporation which dominates the galaxy in the future world of FireFly.

• Joss describes it as something like Microsoft, Wal-Mart and McDonald?'s rolled into one.
• Although Simon believes that "the government" experimented on his sister, Blue Sun appears to bear responsibility as well. It's probably no coincidence that the men pursuing River wear blue gloves.
• Blue Sun logos can be seen in the background in the pilot {{Serenity}} when the crew is on {{Persephone}}. Joss placed them there as continuity for fans, knowing that the megacorp would be important in the future.
• Never developed or fleshed out within the series; Joss says that Blue Sun would have come into play more heavily later in the first season.
